Ve3tro Year-End Video Game Awards
December 8, 2007 -

We are nearing towards the end of a great year, with Ve3tro running strong on its third month in operation. With fingers crossed, we look towards next year to continue the tradition we are going to be making on December 31st 2007. In case you don’t know—yes it is the generic Ve3tro End of the Year Video Game Award Ceremonies! Since we posted about it a few weeks prior to this, I figured we’d throw up some of the categories and nominees.
Surely you’ve all played those games where you thought to yourself “What horrible character design.” It’s these characters that make you either hang your head in shame for enjoying the game, make you hide it under your bed as though it’s of pornographic nature, or you find yourself swallowing the embarrassment like a man and secretly hope that the character will die by the end of the game. Of course it is inevitable that they will die and you’ll probably get the experience of playing them in the sequel!
Our nominee’s for ‘Worst Character Design’ are:
The King and Queen of the Cosmos – Beautiful KatamariCrackdown Super Agents – Crackdown
Your Opinion – When filling out the ballad, select who you think deserves to win—or lose…

Sometimes you rush home after getting a new game in your hands. You rip off its cellophane wrapper and pick at the top seals until you get red faced and flustered. Finally you rip the box open, making the sticker choose which side it will stick with. You run to your console of choice, watch the disc drive protrude and then you throw in your newest purchase. Load screens pop up and you curse hoping to just get engulfed in an experience that’s out of this world and then—you get irritated and depressed for your newest purchase is no more than another trademark of mediocrity.
Our nominee’s for ‘Greatest Letdown’ are:
Kane and Lynch
Shadowrun
Heavenly Sword
The Darkness
LAIR
John Woo’s Stranglehold
Now not to seem pessimistic about the year, let’s end this article with our third and final category for today.
To escape the world’s tedious chores—grocery shopping, running around, driving—we look to video games as our doorway into an artificial world. Where do we go? Of course we step into a vehicle much more luxurious than ours. Help us choose which the best racer was in our next category.
Our nominee’s for ‘Best Racing Game 2007’ are:
Need For Speed:
Project
DiRT
Juiced 2
Flatout 3 Ultimate Carnage
Forza Motorsport 2
You can vote for this category on our current poll on the right side of the page! Do not delay, it won’t be up forever!
We’ll tell you how to vote for the rest as we get closer to our Awards Night on December 31st 2007.
