Rate My Avatar

December 10, 2009 - We here at Ve3tro have always laughed at the Avatar system. We’d make machinations of utter hilarity (see above for our Kevin Moser’s (left) and my own (right) current monsters). So when a game comes along that allows us to show off our ‘creativity’, we are all over it!

Introducing to the Xbox Live Arcade, Rate My Avatar! Rate My Avatar is a new game by ProjectorGames that will be released for 80 MS points, or approximately one dollar.

“We are extremely excited about the launch of Rate My Avatar.” said DJArcas, CEO, “Until now there has been no way to easily browse avatars beyond your immediate friends list. With Rate My Avatar you can have instant access to thousands of avatars from across the globe. It also gives a great competitive edge to dressing up your avatar – you can try out a new style and see exactly what other people think of it! There are also absolutely, positively, no zombies in it. We think this may be a first for Xbox Indie Games.”

With such a brilliant idea, it makes us wonder why Microsoft never implemented such a feature. It’ll be interesting to see what other monstrosities are walking the Xbox dashboards… so download Rate My Avastar now!

What didn’t you like about the price point? That’s the lowest one we’re allowed, and we would rather a large community than price-gouging.

  2. Oh for sure, allow me to clarify on the article.

I think that it’s an absolutely brilliant idea, but I just wonder if people will pay a dollar to show off their Avatar (if they aren’t whacky or goofy such as our staffs’).

This is definitely innovation for an XBLA Indie title, and I wish your team success!

    *chuckles*

All I’ll say is that, right now, I’ve had a very hard time keeping up with rating the flow of new people today! It’s worth a dollar to see the top 10 rated avatars alone ;)

I hope to see you on there soon!
