Super Mario Bros Wii to Outsell MW2?
November 11, 2009 - Jessie Divinich from Electronic Entertainment Design and Research is firmly set in his belief that Super Mario Bros Wii will outsell Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by the end of this year.
He suspects that the title will sell 15 million units in its lifetime–but we could all assume that, can’t we? It’s a sequel to the greatest game of all time, Super Mario Brothers!
Not only is it a popular game based off name alone, but the Wii is the best selling console of this generation and is generally targeted at kids and the youth demographic–and it’s almost Christmas, so the install base will be looking for something fun to play this year.
“EEDAR expects Nintendo to hold onto its console supremacy in November and December,” says Divnich.
