Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter out March 24th!

To coincide with the recent release of Watchmen in theaters, an amazing film by the way, Warner Bros. is releasing an animated home movie to the film entitled Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter! It will be released March 24th on Blu-Ray and DVD. Here’s a little info on what you can expect from what sounds like an awesome inclusion to the Watchmen collection:
Tales of the Black Freighter is an amazing animated short film that brings WATCHMEN’s comic-within-the-comic to life! Narrated by 300’s Gerard Butler, Tales of the Black Freighter is a gut-wrenching tale full of pirates, sharks, and doom & gloom that foreshadow the coming events of WATCHMEN. It definitely puts the “GORY” in allegory. Needless to say, it is a must-have for all WATCHMEN fan boys (and girls). The disc also features another short, Beneath the Hood, which provides a back-story of Hollis Mason – the original Nite Owl superhero in the WATCHMEN universe.
