A pretty good show. A lot of surprises. First of all, congratulations to Naughty Dog on the Uncharted 2 victory. Modern Warfare 2 and Dragon Age : Origins also represented. The Halo Reach and Force Unleashed II trailer were very impressive. A pretty damn good job by Spike TV in 2009.

6:53 And the winner is… UNCHARTED 2 AMONG THIEVES WINS! Wow, upset win a bit from where I am sitting. Congrats to Naughty Dog. That wraps up the show.

6:28 Best shooter IMO: MW2. But we’ll see, the category is pretty stacked. Any of these games besides L4D is deserving. Oh, and Halo 3 ODST isn’t deserving either. It was Bungie’s thrown together effort. The winner is, Modern Warfare 2, not surprising at all.

5:03 Zach Quinto on stage, playing a voice in Atari new online Star Trek game. Best voice for a game nominees are… Brutal Legend takes home a win as Eddie Riggs. I can live with that.

5:07 F bomb on live TV courtesy of Jack Black. Takes a shot at the other nominees. Wow, uhm okay… not funny by Jack Black and his game was a bit lame. So get off the stage now fat boy. Just for the record, the GOTY nominees are eons better than the game you voiced for.

5:08 First train wreck moments of the night as Black takes apart the award podium. True crime trailer now playing… first commercial break of the show.

5:11 On the online feed you can see the poor crew having to clean up Jack Black’s total mess. I feel bad for em.

5:16 My golden rule with trailers, HUD or die. Looks pretty cool. OH Look it’s Tony Hawk, I wonder if anybody asked about how Ride did.

5:17 Best Action Adventure game should go to Uncharted 2. AC2 and Batman honorable mention. Brutal Legend, not so much.

5:18 AND the winner is: WHAT!? Assassin’s Creed 2 wins. I can see that, but over Uncharted 2? Really? Ubisoft hitting the stage to accept now. Who is the girl wearing almost nothing behind during the acceptance speech?

5:20 Acceptance in French! Nice! Respect for other nominees. Did anyone else catch the music start to loop in to get them off the stage early?

5:21 Deadliest Warrior first look show and video game, need to see more not running intertwined at a milion fps to get a better idea. Cool looking concept any way for this game. Different battle types. A ninja fighting a armoured clad warrior. Downloadable game. Not bad at all.

5:23 Break #2, I can’t believe Assassin’s Creed 2 beat Uncharted 2 in any category other than music. But grats to it.

5:23 Kimbo Slice in UFC? Didn’t he get his ass kicked by some no name? He is introducing UFC Undisputed 2010. What will his stats look like? -10 -10 -10? New trailer looks pretty good for the UFC game, but Kimbo Slice earns a chuckle from me.

5:25 Zach Braff on stage now, the first “fellow nerds” of the night. Wtg. Studio of the Year Award wow. Valve should take this IMO.

5:27 And the winner of the Studio of the Year is Rocksteady Studios? Who? Second surprise winner of the night from where I am sitting. They did better than IW, Naughty Dog, and Valve? Really?

5:29 SLJ the BMF on stage! New Star Wars trailer coming!! Here we go, LucasArts all the way it appears. Force Unleashed 2!! Nice! So far the best moment of the night was Force Unleashed 2 trailer. I hope in the boss sequences it’s not just button pressing and actual action this time.

5:33 33 minutes in and the Star Wars Force Unleashed II announcement by Samuel L Jackson has been the highlight to me thus far.

5:35 I feel like I’ve seen the movie Daybreakers before a ton of times. Trailer looked pretty good though.

5:38PoP trailer, I am in for that movie. Hopefully a well done video game to movie transition for once. I have faith the team behind it can pull it off given their track record.

5:39 Raise your hand is you’re asking yourself who is that? LOL “Tebow is a pussy”. These guys have won me over. BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE BABY! Best team sports game is up. Madden vs. 2K10 imo in an otherwise category. Madden should win.

5:40 Winner is: NHL 10 win! Wow, another surprise. Either the voters are on crack or I’ve lost touch with today’s gamer. NHL 10 was pretty sweet when I played it pre-retail in L.A., a defending champ game? Much respect, but wow what a shock.

5:43 Forgotten Sands trailer. I hope they didn’t movie game rush it. I love the series. At least Prince doesn’t look like Jake G . I hate it when that happens to these types of games. May 2010 release there but again no HUD, just CG.

5:50 Best Independant Game Award Fueled by Dew (TM) coming up. No idea who is going to win here. Flower takes the lead over Sploison man IMO. Trials HD or Flower let’s see… I got one right finally sort of. Flower wins! It’s awesome to see people who are genuinely appreciative to win one of these. Props to Sony to publishing these guys. Props for shouting out to those who got laid off and an offer to join massive props.

6:00 PS3 boom. I am still bitter over a lack of MGS4 nomination for anything over at crispygamer’s games of the decade awards. I mean come on….

6:02 Note to Spike for next year: Don’t run a commercial about cut off penis recovery prior to a trailer for any game. I still can’t concentrate. Trailer for Spec Ops looks pretty cool. Actually had game play I think.
