Couple of Gamers

A couple that games together, stays together. Is there a saying that holds any more truth than that? (Okay, there probably is, and I’m not too sure how to make that a legitimately well known saying–but a gaming couple is definitely awesome!)

If you find the social aspects of gaming important, you may get a kick out of Lori Dance’s newest blog, a Couple of Gamers. With the slogan of “Life is a game with full-featured co-op”, Lori and a batch of talented writers look to bring a unique style of writing and material into the gaming blogosphere.

And guess what? It’s actually entertaining to read!

In what I can only sum up as ‘Kotaku meets Everyone Loves Raymond‘, the Couple of Gamers staff post everything from interviews, the quest for love as a single games journalist, to coverage of launch parties and much more. Oh, did I mention that they allow you to submit your own articles to their site?

As the site’s name suggests, this blog is geared towards relationships and how they relate to video games (couples who game without breaking up and that sort of thing), as well as gender-based gaming content. Because of the specific nature of this theme, please understand that we do prefer posts that adhere to this genre.

Even if you have a little one-paragraph news blurb you just want to shoot off, especially if it’s about a game with co-op or something that you experience with your significant other, please feel free to send it on over. Little posts like that, even if they’re too short for feature material, always have a home on our front-page sidebar and will populate your archive page quite nicely (yes, you’ll get your own archive page!).

I’m sold. Check it out if you’ve got some spare time, it’s a fun site to peruse. Oh, and a warning before you go in: There is some hot controller-on-controller action going on in the upper right corner of the screen that is in desperate need of censorship.
