Bethesda To Begin Work on an MMO?

Today a press release was passed along to me courtesy of ZeniMax Online. While ZeniMax itself is a relative unknown in the gaming industry in terms of actual software, they do own a name I am sure many of you do recognize: Bethesda.
In the press release ZeniMax states that at the Austin GDC they are recruiting talented people to begin work on an MMO. The press release Bethesda as one of their primary companies and touts them as the developer of Elder Scrolls and Fallout (not that we didn’t know that already).
“We’re hard at work creating the next big MMOG – one that will challenge the current market leaders – and are looking for talented developers to add to the team,” added Firor. “Austin is known in the online gaming industry as a hub of talent – the perfect place for us to find experienced professionals.”
Could this be the beginning of the creation of the next Elder Scrolls or other online MMOG from Bethesda? Of course marketing verbage aside, what franchise making the leap to MMO under ZeniMax/Bethesda control could possibly challenge the current market leader, scratch that, juggernaut known as Blizzard? Only time will tell.
