TOOOOOOOOOL! Woo hoo. I hope this is true.

  2. By: hunter

That is the best setlist! I hope thats the real setlist.

  3. By: Matt

If this is true, GH:WT will be an instant buy

  4. By: Dibs

    I agree. Awesome.

  5. By: Mark

This looks VERY accurate, many songs on here have been officially confirmed, such as the Hendrix songs, 3 songs and a stage devoted to tool, rebel yell, everlong, Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing, Dammit, and muse, SOAD, Sublime, Linkin Park are in here too which were confirmed before. Oh, and isn’t the RHCP song Give it Away not Take it Away? Anyway, there’s also sample songs created by the drummers in the drum trailer. This looks way too accurate to be false. Nice list!

  6. By: Dibs

Where is the source for this list?

  7. By: Mark

    http://digg.com/xbox/Guitar_Hero_World_Tour_Setlist_Leaked
Apparently posted by the same guy who leaked GH3 setlist as well. Man, all of these songs are making my head explode.

  8. By: Dibs

Rush, Pink and Dream Theater. Makes my brain melt. :(

  9. By: Chris

Almost too good to be true, and 3 song sets? Eh whatever its amazing if this is true instant buy for me, but there are some spelling errors, and anything with crazy train makes me think its a fake set list, i don’t know why.

  10. By: TommyGunn54

Wow, this looks like complete and utter crap, I love how they have at least 3 songs from Rock Band in here, proving once again that Neversoft and Activision have no originality. I’m really glad I’ll be investing my money into Rock Band 2, which actually has a decent setlist. I mean, come on, first this “World Tour” bullshit is a DIRECT COPY of Rock Band, then you put Vasoline, Don’t Fear the Reaper, and The Kill in? Why not just copy every song from the game? Oh, and let’s thrown in those crap-tacular “Guitar Battles” from GH3 that no one liked so it can be “different” and “original” and we’ll let you make your own songs so the internet can be flooded with morons who put 4- and 5- not chords so they can show everyone how much skill they have. This crap makes me sick, I love how while GH3 was an inferior game, all you fanboys gobbled it up like it was fucking catnip, while a good game that actually brought a new concept to the game has to struggle. Rock Band was revolutionary to the genre, and this ripoff crap comes along and will sell better because all you fanboys assume it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well, go ahead, have your overly-difficult notecharts, your circular notes that will make drumrolls impossible, your second-rate songs, and your custom-rate bullshit, because I’ll be playing Rock Band 2 and having fun with all my friends who enjoy games made by people who actually play music. So, in closing, this setlist has about 7 good songs on it and is a complete joke, and I hope you enjoy feeding your hard-earned cash to a company that doesn’t know a damn ting about music games. Good day.

  11. By: RB2 Fanboys Are Pathetic

TommyGunn54, you have no right to complain, as you are a RB fanboy. Thus, kindly shut your pie hole. So copying 3 songs out of a setlist of 85 is a “DIRECT COPY”? Oh, by the way, RB1 took several songs from GH3. Oops, that makes your borderline sexual obsession with RB look silly, now doesn’t it?

Moral of the story; nobody gives a shit about your opinions unless they are civil. Also, cut the hypocrisy, i.e. blaming RB’s lower sales on fanboyism. Maybe no one wants to play RB with raving lunatics such as yourself, hmm?

  12. By: Thuglife

This looks sooo good, Dream Theater, DragonForce, and Van Halen will all be crazy hard, and Hallowed be thy Name is such a good soneg, the first sets kinda dissapointed me then it all of a sudden decided to go all orgasm on me

  13. By: Anonymous

Sting is a bass player. Debunked

  14. By: RyBu

Guys….. this is impossible. Don’t believe this list. Just because it’s got a few songs that are already announced, doesn’t make it real.

    Johnny B. Goode
    Life in the Fast Lane
    Comfortably Numb
    Crazy Train
    Bat Country
    Sweet Home Alabama
    Paradise City….

If you guys think they’ve got ALL OF THAT… you’re idiots. Those 7 songs would be instant buys for MANY, many people… I don’t think they could put that all together.

not to mention all this debunking.

    (Posted by Arar, Rockband forums)

    Why it’s FAKE.

    Reason # 1
    Synchronicity Tour:
“Guitar Battle Vs. Sting” (Guitar Career Only)
Encore: “Every Breath You Take” by The Police

LOLZ … Give me a break guitar battle Sting?
Encore ? Every Breath you take… a ballad LOL

    Reason #2
“I Don’t wanna Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith

This song didnt make the GH Aerosmith CD because of Disney License the soundtrack to Armageddon the Movie.

Janie’s got a gun did’nt make the cut either but would have been a more believeable choice.

    Reason #3
    All Pissed Off Tour:
even though the game is rated T for teen…
Activision would never use the word Pissed Off
They are well aware 8 year olds play this game.

    Reason #4
“Beat it” by Micheal Jackson Feat. Eddie Van Halen
I dont even have to explain this one.

    Resaon #5Legends of Rock Tour:
“Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry

LoL, even if they could get the master track of this song made it 1958
    I would only be a 2 tracks lol…

  15. Woah thanks RyBu. Reece just received the email and decided to post it. We can hope that its true, but I think you’ve made tons of valid points on this matter.

  16. Also, I had to correct some of the song titles myself–I changed about 2 and then didn’t bother with the rest.

If it was leaked from the real game, this guy sure couldn’t read very well. :P

  17. By: yayomg1337lol

lmao rb2 fanboys are pathetic best comment ever. couldn’t agree more. this kinda looked like a legit setlist at first because aerosmith kinda started the whole fewer songs per set thing. but yeah every breath you take wouldn’t be a guitar hero song lol

  18. By: Ooishi

    This is directed at TommyGunn54.

Wow, you are arrogant and one of the worst fanboys I’ve ever seen.

One statement to make your whole point invalid; RB has songs on it from GH3. When We Were Young and Cherub Rock are two things from the top of my head. Now RB2 has Holiday in Cambodia. Another song from GH3.

Also, RB is NOT original, and you’re a fool to think as such. Konami did it first.

I don’t get why people are so set in stone as to which game is best. Can’t we just play both, As I do, and enjoy them both; without being pedantic as to which company does it?

The Setlist is…Questionable, but I’m hoping it’s real.

  19. Ooishi, I think there is this strong sense of fanboyism due to the fact that each game is so expensive thanks to the cost of the hardware.

If you invest in a game you have to feel that your purchase is justified, especially if you cannot have both games. If Guitar Hero World Tour has a much more exciting set list than Rock Band 2, the buyers and supporters of Rock Band feel as though they are getting the ass end of the deal.

The Guitar Hero game looks to improve Rock Band in all aspects and features some pretty impressive options. Rockband 2 is basically an expansion back–merely new songs…

There isn’t much competition between the games for me, but if I wasn’t planning on buying Guitar Hero World Tour, I too would probably be trying to belittle the GH title.

  20. By: youmustbekidding

RB2 is an expansion pack? Get real. Look at the feature set for RB 2 – it’s a hell of alot more than that.

Anyone who watched the videos and read the articles from the RB2 demo’s at E3 would know that.

I’ll probably rent GHWT at some point to check it out, but I don’t see myself buying it just to play 1/2 a dozen songs that will eventually come to RB anyway.

At least they had the common sense to allow the RB peripherals to be compatible with GHWT…but they had no choice. They need the RB customers to want to buy GHWT. So that tells who thinks who is competition since they tried so hard to stop the RB peripherals from being compatible up until now.

  21. By: KB

The list looks really good but I am always weary about leaked list – a lot of times they don’t turn out to be true. Thing is though, if half of it is true, it’s a real winner. I just hope they make their game compatible with Rock Band’s peripherals (1 or 2) FOR THE PS3. If so, it’s a buy for sure. If not, I’ll just be missing out. I’n sure I’m not the only one in that boat either.

  22. By: Ooishi

Ooishi, I think there is this strong sense of fanboyism due to the fact that each game is so expensive thanks to the cost of the hardware.

I understand that completely; but when people come and flame either game with little reason, it gets rather annoying. Even more so when there is little fact in the flame.

  23. By: Dillon

I completely agree with you Ooishi–but I guess some people don’t have anything better to do? In my opinion the Rockband/GHWT debate has enough potential to become the next “MY DAD IS BETTER THAN YOUR DAD” craze.

  24. By: GHSucks

its funny how everyone who play GH now is just wow that song is hard so its automatically cool. Since when was playing guitar about how hard a song is GH is just for fuckin posers who don’t know how to play guitar and think their little toys r us guitars and drums look cool. And nice job those little fuckin retard Neversoft people copied RB by making a band game since when was being a guitar hero about playing drums. Anyone who says “I’m going to p[lay drums on guitar hero” automatically sounds like a little dipshit

  25. By: GH=Posers

I mean I have to thank guitar hero for letting all the posers and stupid people to be on there game and not mess up the leaderboards on RB cuz think about it if all these fuckheads were on the RB leaderboards and forums they would be corrupted with little retards who think they r so good

  26. By: fake note charts

wow know neversoft gets to make their fake drum charts and vocal charts and all these posers will like it cuz they don’t even know the first thing of how a real guitar plays or drums and vocals. I’m seriously did anyone see that hot for teacher drum chart that was so fake the beginng of that song is bass drum not a tom

  27. By: fake note charts

    I spelled now know

  28. By: Dillon

Wow, lots of hostility towards Guitar Hero.

So you guys are not going to pick up GHWT even though the disc will be compatible with the Rockband peripherals?

  29. By: Freaks

Guitar Hero is full of freaks. Did u see some the characters they have it looks like they have tumors on their arms and head

  30. By: angry fanboy

Because every game that’s unrealistic sucks, right? You know, like Halo, Gears Of War, Metal Gear Solid, all those games that suck and no one plays? And anyone who still thinks Neversoft overcharts has obviously not played Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. And to the guy who says the intro to Hot For Teacher is played mainly on the bass drum, you probably have only seen drum sets on TV. A lot of people have a tough time accepting that Guitar Hero has to evolve and progress, for some reason. Beats me what that reason is, though.

  31. By: Dillon

Woah, I think they need to sign this as a UFC event. Rockband vs Guitar Hero.

  32. By: Dillon

“Guitar Hero is full of freaks. Did u see some the characters they have it looks like they have tumors on their arms and head”

I’m not biased on this debate, I’m on the fence looking down at both parties in dismay. However let me tell you this: in Rockband I consistently had a girl singing Beastie Boy’s Sabotage. Now tell me which game has freaks.

  33. By: Sals

List is completely fake. Damn you gay rockband fanboys for trying to make GHWT look bad. Whoever says that rectangle notes are better than circle need to die.

  34. By: Mark

How is this fake? Looks very legit to me. And why would this make GHWT look bad? This is a great list. I’ll probably buy this along with RB2. And dude Tommy you just sound stupid.

  35. By: Sean

ok this is completely fake. Check the gameinformer website, they asked both neversoft and activision if it was real, and both said that it was fake. this kinda crap makes me hate fanboys that spread stuff and say its true.

  36. By: Mark

Haha Sean do you actually think that neversoft and activision will say it’s real… c’mon dude that’s not a valid reason why it’s fake I still think it’s real. Take what gamespot and IGN said about RB2 a few weeks ago, that players who own RB1 can port the RB1 on-disc songs to RB2. Harmonix at first denied it, but when they were ready to make the official announcement they said that this was in fact true. Anyone who thinks that Activision will say that this is true is just plain stupid. They would rather wait until they’re ready to make an official announcement on their own.

  37. By: Dibs

I think you’ve all got your head up your asses. This isn’t a war, its a fucking game.

  38. By: I have both GH and RB

    Competition = Good

  39. By: Flip4207

Well, sure do have alot of “fanboys” in here….. Anyway, I dont see whats the deal with who likes what? Try getting a job so you can play both? I have both and play them both regularly. I kind of agree with the notion that playing drums on guitar hero is kind of silly but you have to go where the money is at and we all know that. But to to guy about GH or RB being “original” neither of these games is. Games like that have been out for years….. Frequency, Amplitude, Beat Mania, etc. GH and RB are just a little more evolved. As for the setlist it sounds badass but the police as an encore sounds kinda gay. Any RB or GH fan would kill this sound first time. It’s about time we get to play some Tool though……I HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH!!! I heard the Tool songs where going to be Schizm, Vicarious, and Parabola though instead of the ones posted above. What we SHOULD get is some Tick & Leeches and I want someone to beat that. wOOtaga!! peace b*tchs !!!SONY RULEZ!!!

  40. By: Radioheadfan

I wish it were real….But i think its fake cause nottingham lace…….it has no lyrics!!!

  41. By: bjf1377

  42. By: Dibs

    Confirmed fake = fake.

  43. By: Dillon

Yeah, I have to agree that this myth set list has been debunked.

  44. By: Mark

Lol I still think it’s real… we’ll see when they officially release the set list. It’s in no way confirmed fake, idk why everyone’s saying that, it sure looks real.

  45. I think for the most part it’s correct, but this is not the 100% correct list.

Why would Tool have 3 songs in the game as no other band ever have had that amount of tracks in these games unless it was DLC.

  46. By: Mark

I heard somewhere about a month ago that 3 songs and a stage for tool were confirmed, forgot where but I definitely heard it.

  47. By: Cassels

The list is probably fake because it has Tool in it. Its just a rumor and probably is going to stay that way. btw Sting does play base and if that is for real then I dont believe that will be as exciting as a John Entwistle or Metallica’s Cliff Burton

  48. By: Mark

Nah Tool was confirmed. But you’re right about it being fake it has many songs in it that are confirmed but a couple that were just confirmed such as LP’s “In The End” are not on this list. I thought it was real until yesterday.

  49. By: Josh
